Red Hot Chili Peppers guilty of Plagiarism?
June 25, 2006 by Jan Welch · 4 Comments

The Red Hot Chili Peppers have been accused of plagiarism by Deleware radio station WGMD. The station has brought forth very strong evidence that suggests the Chili Peppers ripped off the chord progression, the melody, the tempo, the key and the lyrical theme of Tom Petty’s 90s hit ‘Mary Jane’s Last Dance’ in their newest single ‘Dani California’.
Both songs were produced by legendary producer Rick Rubin. Tom Petty is reportendly in discussion with attorneys over filing a copyright lawsuit against both the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Rick Rubin.

WGMD's Dan Gaffney has produced this MP3 to show the similarities of the two songs. [0:50m]: Play Now | Play in Popup | DownloadGround Control Dual Injection Frames
June 23, 2006 by Jan Welch · 7 Comments
Ground Control’s fastest frame ever! The grind plate of the Dual Injection GC frame is made of a new UHMW material for super fast grinding speeds. It also offers multiple rockering options from flat to anti-rocker and high-lo. A new 42 mm GC anti-rocker wheel was specifically designed for the Bullet 8 frame series. All wheels come with super sturdy 8 mm axle bolts and metal rockers. Also for the first time GC releases frames colors gold and silver, which are perfectly complimenting the colors of Murda’s and Frankie’s pro skates.

Also, thanks to everyone who came by our booth today and giving us your support! You are the chosen ones. I am sure Daily Bread will be releasing in depth coverage of the event either on their website or in a future magazine. Keep up to date and tune into dbmag.com to feed your mind.
