Europe Tour Day 5 – Vienna
February 12, 2008 by Jan Welch

Morning coffee break at Ankar.

Jan waking up to a cappachino.

Brian Shima and Cory Casey waking up before our fruitless search for skate spots.

Part of the West Bahnhof was being torn down even though it was still in use. This is where we caught the subway toward the city park downtown.

The first thing we saw once getting out of the subway was the canels, which were originally built in the Roman times.

Trying to get our bearing on where to go in the city to skate.

We ended up not finding any spots, but instead ended up the the famous Seccession.

The Secession was designed and built by Josephy Olbrich in 1897-1898

Art deco owl.

Jon and Brian ended up meeting up with the Vienna skaters and found this spot close to our hotel. Here is brian lacing a backside in the dark.

Later that evening Michael Bayr and Philip Forstner of BeMag came to visit us at the Wombar.
