DL - The Dustin Latimer Video
June 11, 2008 by Jan Welch
DL is a comprehensive look at the life of rollerblading Dustin Latimer gave his life to. Covering the very beginning of his skating at age 10 in 1991 with his first 360 on through the end of his career as a professional, where he now resides blading as he once did prior to his first sponsor. This is a two disk set including every section that Dustin has ever had in his rollerblading career along with a complete history of the beginning of rollerblading as he began through the years of sponsorship. In the first disk there are many unseen sections of older pre-sponsorship footage along with many unseen post-sponsorship skating sections all combined with commentary on the start of Dustin’s rollerblading, bringing it together in a documentary style skate video which is 45min (not to mention a 25 min b-role section). The second disk is simply a chronological compilation of every section Dustin has has, 18 sections in all, from Children Of the Night at age 14 on through Accidental Machines at age 26, and is just over 1hour.
If you are a new age blader and have missed out on the past of blading then this will take you to the very beginning when it all began, before grinding, to before soul grinds, on through the progression of the infinite tricks at your disposal present day, and if you are an old blader that grew up with the progression of rollerblading then this will be a reminiscense of your growing up and rekindle what it was like when you began on through the years with all the styles and progression of tricks.
Dustin Latimer grew up with rollerblading, so you can see how rollerblading changed over the years through Dustin as he is 100% blader and lived rollerblading.
