Bitter Cold Showdown 2010
This year’s Bitter Cold Showdown was yet again another amazing year of skating, fun, debauchery and drama. It was great seeing so many skaters year after year converging on one spot, killing it and having a blast. Congratulations to 4×4 and Ground Control’s Chris Haffey for taking first place! Also Congrats to the rest of our riders who placed in the top 10. John Bolino (Nimh / Vicious) placed 2nd. Brian Aragon (Ground Control) placed 3rd. Alex Broskow (4×4) placed 4th. Brian Shima (Nimh / 4×4 / Vicious / Ground Control) placed 8th. Jeff Stockwell (Vicious) placed 9th.

Revival & Paris to London double feature premiere

This past Saturday night we hosted a double feature premiere of The Revival and a documentary called Paris to London. The turnout was good and there were lots of friendly faces from the SD bike and blade scene, which has crossed over very nicely in the past year. Special guests Brian Shima (NIMH), Emi Brown (MASH), Tyler Johnson (The Revival), John Cardiel (Macaframa) and Grace Ladoja (Filmmaker London To Paris) where in attendance. The event was organized by Dan at Leader Bikes (leaderbikeusa.com). Rat Tail Warehouse Sale
Thanks to all of you who came to our warehouse sale this past Saturday. It was short and sweet and many of you left carrying stacks of shirts. Justin Eisenger from ONE Magazine was here to document the event. You can see photos on the One Magazine website.
Death Pedal Premiere @ The Rat Tail Warehouse
Kareem Shehab had the premiere of his first fixed gear bicycle video, entitled Death Pedal at our warehouse on Saturday, April 25th. This was a huge event that I missed because I flew to Russia that day. Jon Elliott made sure things flowed smoothly with the help of Kareem and some of our friends in the fixed gear community. Velo Culture bike shop provided the projector and had a booth, Leader Bikes had a custom Death Pedal frame and fork that was raffeled away and Franco Shade had a booth selling a collaboration Death Pedal / Franco Shade shirt. Several hundred people were in attendance and in the end the evrent was a huge success. Check out death-pedal.com for more information.

Our boys out in Philly at Neglected Truth are hosting another box jam at the shop. We’ve provided some sweet prizes for the event. Lots of amazing skating will be going on, this is an event not to be missed.
May 17th L.A. All Day Real Street Competition
L.A. All Day Real Street Comp is on May 17th, 2008. This is a Roll Series Sectional and you will earn points for both Roll Series and L.A. All Day. We will meet where Ocean Park Blvd. meets the Beach in Santa Monica, then we will end it in Venice. No need to get in cars to hit each spot, there just a skate away. We will be an the LA All Day this saturday skating and hanging out. Rat Tail will be bbqing so come by for some grub. Lots of cool people will be there so come and hang out with us. We will have demo Nimh skates to try out as well.
