Oli Short sent over a .PDF from Kingdom magazine doing a feature on Leon Humphries. It is pretty rad!

Last week the Nimh Spanish team organized a NIMH SESSION in Sant Feliu Skatepark near Barcelona. Everyone came out for a great session and to meet Marc Moreno “Enanoh”, Paco Rey, Adrià Saa “Mineroh” and Tony “Cheetah”. Guys like Teles, Roberto Cobo and many more kids came out rocking their own customized Nimhs while others tried out the Nimh skates for the first time and everyone had a great time skating.

Marc Moreno has been enjoying the streets of Barcelona on his skates for years now. Coming from such an urban skatepark he has progressed on all skill levels. Add style, clean landings and a never ending smile and you have one of Europe’s next big names. Michael Bayr over at BeMag recently did an interview with Enanoh for their website. WHEN PEOPLE THINK OF THE SPANISH SKATING SCENE YOUR NAME ALWAYS POPS UP; WHY DO YOU THINK THAT IS?

I guess since I’ve been skating for so long now and as a lot of people have come to Barcelona (BCN) so I’ve had the chance to skate with them. I actually think I know at least one person from every country of Europe. Also because I always try to be a good ambassador for my land Catalunya, not Spain.

WHAT’S IT LIKE LIVING IN ONE OF THE BEST CITIES TO SKATE IN?

Awhile ago, when I was a kid I used to think BCN sucked compared to other places. You know, always thinking about perfect rails from America and shit, but when I grew up I just realized how lucky I was. And obviously I am.

Gabriel Hyden has just had an interview on the CO.Efficient website. They also made an accompanying edit which I have re-posted below. Gabriel will be flying to Florida with Oli Short for the Panhandle Pow Wow this month. He will be there representing Nimh and Ground Control and will be meeting with Jon Elliott to discuss the 2010/11 plans for both companies in Europe.

Gabriel Hyden is our favorite skater here on Co. Efficient. His skating is really one of a kind that is hard not to like. Him making an edit for us on his own shows how nice of a guy he truely is. For the past five years that I have been rollerblading his skating has been one of the most influincial. His smooth and solid skating is what makes me want to pursue that perfection that his skating has. Enjoy-gregory preston

1. You just got hurt on tour a while ago, have you made a full recovery?

I still have some issues with my hips and the right knee, but I´m able to skate. I just have to be carefull, I became an old man before i realised that. The Problem with these injuries is that they´ll hurt when even touched slightly, but do not hurt in movements, so you forget about them when having a session, and then, boom, fucked. Sit Down. Smoke a Cig. Let the Pain drift away for a couple of minutes. Go.

2. Are you working on any new sections for future videos?

I have a couple of very exciting Projects on the List. I´m not sure if i´m able to finish all of em but i´d love to. Priority will be a new solo Film by the great Brandon Negrete, which i´d really love to get something good together. Having a Section in one of his films is like, I don´t know, he´s def not going to ask just anybody you know? Other than that i´ll also try to come up in Jonas Hansson´s new flick which is going to be a really cool European skate Video, He´s going for a cool look so thats going to be interesting too. I´m also trying to collect some clips for INRI

Be-Mag did a quick 10 seconds story with Nimh & Vicious rider Oli Short during the Winterclash. Read up on his plans for the year and what he had to say about the Winterclash. Oli Short, along with Gabriel Hyden, will be flying to Florida to meet up with Jon Elliott at the Panhandle Pow Wow. Everyone needs to roll that event hang out, kick it and skate to your hearts content.

SO, WHAT’S UP, OLI? HAVE YOU SKATED THIS COURSE YET?

Not yet, but, yeah, I’ll be skating a bit. I don’t think I’ll be competing, but I just want to be here to catch with all my friends, hang out a bit… I enjoy skating with the kids too, just promoting rollerblading.

SO, YOU’VE BEEN HERE A FEW DAYS ALREADY, RIGHT?

Yeah, came in a few days early. When you travel it’s usually so quick and you end up missing what a city has to offer, so I made a point to get out here a few days early. Done a load of stuff already! The first night we stayed at a place called IMA – it’s an old warehouse that’s been converted into studios and an artist community and it’s close to a lot of museums in the area; there’s a lot going on there so that was really cool seeing that side of Berlin.

Checked out a few records stores too that I’ve been wanting to visit. Again, skating is great, but there’s so much more than just skating that makes skating great; it’s because of the opportunities to travel and really see all the different parts of a culture. So, it’s been good. And than I head back tomorrow after the Clash.
